The advantages of spray foam insulation over fiberglass are numerous. There is a common misconception that builders can insulate with fiberglass and create an effective air barrier separately. Building code requires a thermal barrier which can be met with fiberglass, however the code also requires that buildings meet a 3.0 Air Change per Hour standard. This means that up to 3 times the Volume of the structure can be cycled through it during Air Barrier testing, required as part of final inspection. Spray Foam Insulation fills the large and small gaps so well that we can guarantee a building insulated by Heat Keepers will pass the Air Barrier testing. On a new construction project we will pay for the test, at no cost to the Builder.
